Reading goalkeeper Dean Bouzanis has joined League One rivals Stevenage on loan until January.
The Australian arrived in 2022 and has predominantly been back-up in Berkshire, making nine appearances in total.
Spending last year on loan with League Two Sutton United, the 33-year-old played nearly 30 times as they were relegated out of the Football League.
Returning to Bearwood over the summer, Bouzanis failed to feature in any warm-up fixtures under Ruben Selles.
Alex Revell’s Boro won on the opening day but are without first-choice keeper Taye Ashby-Hammond due to a hand injury.
Nesta Guinness-Walker spent time on loan with Stevenage from Reading last season.
The Royals still have Joel Pereira, David Button and Coniah Boyce-Clarke on the books, with Icelander Jokull Andresson also out on loan for the season.
