Reading legend Alex Pearce has made a sensational return to Berkshire, signing for non-league outfit Bracknell Town.
The 34-year-old rose through the youth ranks with the Royals and made over 250 appearances, winning Player of the Season in 2011/12 as Brian McDermott's men won the Championship.
Captaining the side in the historic 2015 FA Cup semi-final, the central defender moved to Derby County that year and made over 50 appearances for Rams.
The Republic of Ireland international has since been with Bristol City and Millwall, most recently making nearly 50 appearances for AFC Wimbledon.
Departing Plough Lane in May, the defender has dropped to the Southern League Premier South with Bracknell.

Recently taken over by Andy Hunt after a successful rise under the ownership of Kayne Steinborn-Busse, the Robins have enjoyed FA Cup runs and pushed through the divisions in recent years.
Pearce told the club website: "I have been working with Jordan and the squad during pre-season and been impressed with work both he and the lads have been doing. I am delighted to join a local club with ambition and look forward to playing a part in a new era."
