Former Reading youngster Jahmari Clarke has sealed a non-league switch to Wealdstone after his summer release.

The 20-year-old was highly-rated in Berkshire and famously netted a brace on his first-team debut to beat Birmingham City 2-1 back in 2021.

However, the Jamaica Under-20s international failed to push on and did not make a first-team appearance from 2022 until 2024, ending with two goals in 14 games.

Four loan spells to Woking, Forest Green Rovers, Boreham Wood and Yeovil Town yielded just four goals in 15 appearances.

The striker continued to represent Noel Hunt's Under-21s regularly, playing regularly in PL2 and the Berks-Bucks Senior Cup.

Penning a short-term deal, the forward will link up with former Royals defender Adrian Mariappa after the fellow Jamaican made the National League move earlier in the summer.

Wealdstone have lost all three of their matches to date, sat in the fifth-tier relegation zone.

Clarke made his debut in Tuesday's defeat to Sutton United.
