Reading star Femi Azeez has left supporters an emotional message after confirming his exit to Millwall.
The 23-year-old racked up nearly 100 appearances for the club and enjoyed a stellar campaign last year, picking up nearly double figures for both goals and assists.
Signing a long-term deal with the Lions and securing a reported £1m fee for the Royals, Azeez departs with everyone's best wishes at the club after joining as a teenager from the non-league pyramid.
Leaving a message to supporters on social media, the winger said: "The last five years have been special, I joined as an 18-year-old with ambitions to play professionally and I’ve been incredibly fortunate enough to have done so.
"I couldn’t have done it without the amazing support of my teammates, all the staff behind the scenes and the fans which I was lucky enough and grateful to play in front of.
"I wish nothing but the best to everyone and thank you for the special memories."
Reading remain unable to work in the transfer market until the protracted takeover by American Rob Couhig is confirmed, leaving the club short on options out wide to replace the popular forward.
