Reading boss Ruben Selles is expecting a 'different' test from Wrexham on Saturday- but insists the Royals are going to Wales looking to win.
A first trip to the Racecourse Ground for over 20 years, a sold-out away end will back the team as both teams put their unbeaten records on the line in North Wales.
Fresh off the back of an impressive 2-0 victory over Wigan Athletic last week, supplemented by a 3-1 win over West Ham Under-21s in the EFL Trophy, confidence is high within the camp.
"It’s another away game where we are going to try and beat our opponents," Selles said ahead of the trip to Wrexham. "It is going to be good- it is sold out from our side, so we are going to have good support. We are going there with the intention to get the three points and play and perform as we have been doing for the entire season.
"Every team is different. Birmingham, Wigan and West Ham have been three teams that play more of an in-possession style. I think Wrexham try to go more direct sometimes and are very powerful with two strikers. I expect a different challenge, yes."
Jayden Wareham, who netted his first goal for the club in Tuesday's Trophy win, last played the Dragons while with Woking in the National League.
Looking for a record third successive promotion in a row, Wareham is not underestimating the challenge.
"I played Wrexham a few years ago for Woking in the National League," the young striker said. "They’re a massive club but it’s another game for us.
"We’ve both started really well so it will be a very good test on Saturday. We will go with what we can, and they will turn up with what they have. To the fans- back us all the way and be our twelfth man, as they always are."
