Reading lost 3-0 at Wrexham in what was their first defeat of the League One campaign- and first match in which they failed to score since January 20.

Take a look at our ratings below.

Joel Pereira, 6: Made some good saves to keep the score down and could do little with the goals conceded, however his distribution requires lots of work as passes went astray.

Michael Craig, 6: Had a quieter afternoon than the defender on the opposite flank, with the left-hand side targeted more than the right. Looked to get forward where possible and was combative in the tackle.

Amadou Mbengue, 6: A tough afternoon for the whole defensive line, with an aerial bombardment for most of the game. Was caught under the ball and outjumped for Ollie Palmer's opener and struggled to clear James McClean's header in the build-up to the second goal. In possession, his passing range was excellent and he loved to drive forward where possible.

Tyler Bindon, 6: Saw plenty of the ball but was slow in possession. Cleared an almost-certain Wrexham goal off the line and saw a header of his own crash off the hosts' crossbar so a busy day in North Wales for the youngster.

Jeriel Dorsett, 4: Not his day unfortunately after what has been a relatively solid start. Failed to close the cross for the opener and was out of position for the second goal. Was targeted all afternoon and came off second-best in his individual dual. Could have, and possibly should have, pulled a goal back in the second half.

Lewis Wing, 6: A little deep for my liking, but continued to exhibit his exceptional passing range. Long-distance shooting was off the boil on the day from the usually reliable midfielder.

Ben Elliott, 6: Put himself about but came up against a stronger and more organised opposing midfield. Showed his quality in glimpses but failed to find the killer pass to open the defence.

Charlie Savage, 6: Must have ran more than anyone else on the pitch, looking to impress in his family's hometown. Showed some clever passing and great endeavour but not his most effective performance this season.

Kelvin Ehibhatioman, 6: Again, showed his quality in glimpses. Displayed some great touches and loved to beat his opposite number, but the cross or shot was off.

Sam Smith, 5: Not his day, seeing little of the ball and walking a tightrope after an early yellow card for dissent. Need to find a way of involving the forward more.

Adrian Akande, 6: An EFL debut for the 20-year-old. Had the beating of his full-back but final ball needs work.

Substitutes

Tivonge Rushesha, 6: A good impact from the youngster, seeing a lot of the ball. Was denied a goal which had crossed the line.

Jayden Wareham, 6: Ran around plenty but saw little of the ball. More League One minutes in the tank for the striker.

Basil Tuma, 6: Neat and tidy but Wrexham dealt with his threat comfortably.

Andre Garcia, 6: Some clever touches and yet more experience for the 16-year-old.

Kelvin Abrefa, 6: Ran lots and looked to make stuff happen.
