Reading boss Ruben Selles has emphatically ruled out any player departures on transfer deadline day.
The Royals, unable to enter the market until the protracted sale of the club is completed, are the only team in England yet to make a signing.
Winger Femi Azeez departed last week to join Millwall and the club were under the impression that a replacement could be drafted in, but this was not the case.
With a little over 24 hours until the deadline, supporters are fearing the worst for exits from their already thin squad.
However, the Spaniard has emphatically ruled out any departures before 11pm on Friday despite other clubs showing an interest.
"Yes [there has been interest]- but nobody is going," he told the media. "I cannot replace anyone, so nobody is going. That is as clear as I can be. When you have a squad like ours right now- young and energetic- there are clubs wanting them for their own."
Infamously back in January, supporters were assured that the club would not partake in a 'fire sale' to raise funds, however, Tom McIntyre, Tom Holmes, Nelson Abbey and Caylan Vickers all departed at the end of the window to raise funds.
