Reading have left it late but complete the deadline day arrival of Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Chem Campbell.
The Royals, who were the only team in the EFL yet to make a signing in the lead-up today, have been in deep conversations with the league after last week's Femi Azeez departure.
Originally told they could replace the forward, boss Ruben Selles told the media on Thursday that no moves were possible.
In a late shift, 21-year-old Campbell arrives on loan until January 5 2025.
Coming late in the day, the former Wycombe Wanderers and Charlton Athletic forward will not be eligible for tomorrow's visit of league leaders Charlton.
Spending the first half of last season on loan with the Addicks and scoring twice, he failed to find the net in eight appearances for the Chairboys.
Speaking of securing the forward's short-term future, Reading Manager Rubén Sellés, said: "We are very happy to secure the signing of Chem, a player who will bolster our attacking options for the first half of our League One campaign.
He has a come through some of the best Academy setups in the country and has experienced minutes playing at English football’s top level, and we are delighted to bring him to Reading to give him an opportunity to impress and develop further."
