Reading emphatically responded to last week's 3-0 defeat at Wrexham by ending Charlton Athletic's winning run, scoring twice in the second half to win 2-0.
Take a look below at our ratings.
Joel Pereira, 8: Made some vital saves throughout the game to ensure the Royals kept their noses in front and preserve another home clean sheet for the Portuguese stopper.
Michael Craig, 7: Another impressive display out of position for the midfielder. Smart forward passes throughout and defensively looked sound.
Amadou Mbengue, 6: Slightly erratic, lucky not to have given away a penalty in the second half. Pace proved vital again in covering at the back. Made some vital interceptions during a spell where the visitors took control.
Tyler Bindon, 7: Made one goal-saving tackle in the first half and was aerially dominant throughout. Perfectly compliments Mbengue.
Jeriel Dorsett, 6: Similar to Wrexham, Dorsett was targeted throughout and had a busy afternoon. In the 15 minutes before his substitution, Dorsett was really struggling. Break could have come at a good time.
Lewis Wing, 7: As ever, confident and comfortable in possession. Made some smart moves happen but the shooting was unusually off-colour on the day.
Charlie Savage, 8: Was all over Charlton like a rash and took his long-distance goal expertly. Really impressive start to the season for the Wales international.
Ben Elliott, 7: Another impressive display for the youngster, dominating the midfield and loving nothing more than driving at the heart of the Addicks defence and making something happen.
Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan, 6: A quieter day for the youngster but did everything required of him to ensure the team won.
Sam Smith, 7: Got in good positions and was good to get off the mark for the campaign after a difficult opening few matches.
Adrian Akande, 7: Fearless and wanted to make something happen every time he had the ball. Great cross for Smith's goal.
Substitutes
Kelvin Abrefa, 7: A real mismatch against Chuks Aneke but handled the striker very well. Solid cameo for the youngster.
Harlee Dean, 6: Did what he needed to do, winning his duals and keeping the defence tight.
