Reading boss Ruben Selles has revealed plans for his side as the team face a 14-day break for the international break.

After Saturday's 2-0 win over Charlton Athletic, the Royals have postponed a trip to Stockport County which was scheduled for this coming weekend.

Instead, Leyton Orient on September 14 will be the next opponents, giving the side a fortnight to prepare.

Asked about his side's plans for the coming week, Selles confirmed that a full match has been organised to keep the team ticking over as well as a crucial rest period.

"It is what it is. We will prepare ourselves; we’ve planned a preparation match on Thursday and play against a good opponent, we will continue developing the team against diverse systems and levels and go again in a couple of weeks. As with everything around the club, we take it like it is and make the very best of it."

Charlie Savage (Wales U21), Tyler Bindon (New Zealand) , Basil Tuma (Malta U21) and Coniah Boyce-Clarke (Jamaica) are all off to appear for their countries in the coming week.

English clubs face disruption in October and November too, which breaks scheduled for international football.

This does not return again until March.
