Leyton Orient have confirmed the signing of former Ipswich Town and Queens Park Rangers midfielder Dom Ball ahead of their trip to Reading on Saturday.
An EFL journeyman, the 29-year-old has played regularly in the Championship, Scottish Premiership and League One since rising through the ranks with Tottenham Hotspur.
Capable of playing in midfield or at the back, Ball made 16 appearances for Ipswich as they were promoted to the Premier League last season and scored once in 19 appearances as the Tractor Boys won promotion from the third tier the season before.
His most prominent spell came at Loftus Road, making 99 appearances across three Championship campaigns.
Released at the end of the season, Ball moves to Brisbane Road on a deal until the end of the season and could make his debut at the Select Car Leasing Stadium on Saturday.
On signing for the O's, Ball told the club website: "I'm delighted to get this over the line and join a great club like Leyton Orient. I'm still only 29 and I'm lucky to have played so many games in my career at some great clubs, and I'm desperate to continue improving and developing as a player.
"I enjoy the competition and playing with a team that is trying to do something special. That's why I have come here, and I'm really looking forward to it.
"I look at the squad here, and it's full of really talented, young players, but you also need those older heads who have played at all different types of levels. In my last two seasons at Ipswich, we achieved back-to-back promotions, which was achieved by working hard individually and collectively. I'm hopeful that I can bring some of my experience from my career to help this team."
