Former Reading CEO Nigel Howe has seen his ban from 'all football-related activities' reduced from six months to three upon appealing to the Football Association.

Howe, who was a key backroom figure under Sir John Madejski, was charged by the FA for his part in a misconduct charge from 2019 relating to agents.

The property expert was originally fined £5,000 and hit with a 12-month ban, the second half of which was from all football-related activity.

Other staff members, namely Michael Gilkes and Sue Hewett, were given warnings.

Howe, who has been assisting with the sale of the club, appealed and has since seen this reduced.

His six-month ban from all football-related activities has now been reduced to three months.

The full verdict and written reasons can be accessed on the Football Association website.
