Huddersfield Town boss Michael Duff believed his side were 'dominant' despite losing 2-1 to Reading on Saturday.
The Terriers have lost three games on the spin but remain in the top 10 of League One after a strong start to the campaign overall.
At the Select Car Leasing Stadium on Saturday, Duff's side took the lead early on through Matt Pearson but fell to defeat after goals from Harvey Knibbs and Ben Elliott- ending Reading's own two-game losing streak.
Speaking after the match, a frustrated Duff believed his side 'shot themselves in the foot' and did enough to win the game.
"I thought we dominated the game for large parts but found a way of losing it." the Burnley legend said. "In the first half we were absolutely dominant but gifted them a goal by trying to pass around our 18-yard box. There’s a time and a place, and that’s not it. That was their only shot on target in the first half.
"There was a 15-20 minute at the start of the second half where we didn’t play as well and then totally dominated the last half hour of the game.
"As an overall performance, it was much better and enough to win the game. I think we had 20 shots away from home and 13 corners so it’s frustrating that we’ve got an ability to shoot ourselves in the foot."
Reading host winless Burton Albion on Tuesday, looking to back up Saturday's victory.
