Former Reading youngster Caylan Vickers caught the eye in PL2 on Saturday as Brighton and Hove Albion hammered rivals Crystal Palace 10-0.
19-year-old Vickers spent more than a decade in the youth system with the Royals and made 22 appearances for the first-team last season before being sold to the Seagulls in January.
Signing a long-term contract in Sussex, the attacking midfielder is yet to make his first-team debut but continues to impress for the youth team.
The teenager scored three and gained two assists in the M23 Derby between the Seagulls and Eagles.
Still a supporter of Reading, Vickers returned to the SCL Stadium earlier in the month as the Royals beat Ajax in the Premier League International Cup.
30-year-old Solly March featured for the hosts, his first minutes in over a year since suffering a knee injury in October 2023.
Winning four of their six PL2 fixtures, Brighton sit fourth while Noel Hunt's Reading are down in 22nd with one win in five.
Norwich City, currently 19th, visit Berkshire this evening (Monday) as Reading look to return to winning ways after a pair of exciting draws.
Last time out, Reading drew 3-3 at Everton as Verrell George netted a hattrick on his Under-21 debut.
