Reading boss Ruben Selles is a candidate for the vacant role at Cardiff City, however according to reports, there are 'concerns over whether Selles can handle owner Vincent Tan.'
News broke on Tuesday that the Spaniard, who is a firm favourite with the supporters since taking over last summer, that Selles is featuring prominently in talks among the hierarchy to replace Erol Bulut.
More discussions are set to take place over the coming days, with the international break meaning neither Reading nor Cardiff are in action for over a week, but in a latest twist sources close to the Welsh outfit have raised concerns over his ability to 'handle' the clubs controversial owner Tan.

According to respected journalist Paul Abbandonato, '[Slaven] Bilic committed to something until January, so unless they leave Omer Riza in charge for a while that's problematic. Concerns over whether Selles can handle Tan. An ex-Man Utd player (not Giggs) also being discussed.'

The 72-year-old Malaysian took over the club in 2010 and has twice taken the club into the Premier League.
However, he is not without his controversy, infamously changing the club's home kit from blue to red.
12 permanent managers have worked in the Welsh capital since Tan arrived and they currently sit bottom of the Championship without a victory.
Guiding the Royals through a difficult 18 months, keeping the club in League One despite suffering multiple points deductions, the Spaniard had admitted in recent weeks that he is not happy after Rob Couhig's protracted takeover attempt collapsed last month.
The club have confirmed that exclusivity has been agreed with an unnamed party, but Selles' patience is wearing thin with owner Dai Yongge and the club's hierarchy.
