Crawley Town boss Rob Elliott has been 'very impressed' with Reading's start to the season- but insists focus will be on his side ahead of tomorrow's League One meeting.
The Red Devils sit third from bottom since their promotion over the summer with two wins from their first 10 matches.
Popular manager Scott Lindsay departed earlier in the month to join League Two MK Dons, with former Newcastle United goalkeeper Elliott stepping into his first EFL managerial role after impressing with National League side Gateshead.
The Royals are sat 17th in the third tier after nine matches- six points clear of their opponents- but the general mood of on-field performances is positive among supporters and the playing staff.
Speaking ahead of Crawley's first-ever visit to the SCL Stadium, Elliott said: "I’ve been really impressed. They play good football, similar to us. They like to play out from the back and have control of the ball. They’ve got some really good key players and an attacking threat out wide and through the middle. We are going to have to be defensively spot-on.
"We will pay Reading the respect they deserve because they’re a very good team, but we want to concentrate on us and developing us as a team and our style of play to keep on the momentum of the last couple of games."
Reading face a gruelling run of nine matches in four weeks, playing every Saturday and every midweek until the end of November.
