Reading are set to remain without injured trio Joel Pereira, Jeriel Dorsett and Mamadi Camara for this evening's trip to Exeter City, but could receive a boost ahead of Saturday's meeting with Bristol Rovers.

The Royals have been missing the trio for over a month but rallied well to earn six wins out of their first 10 League One matches and remain within touching distance of the play-offs.

16-year-old Andre Garcia has covered for Dorsett admirably while David Button and Coniah Boyce-Clarke jostled for the number one jersey in place of the Portugal stopper.

Boss Ruben Selles had originally hoped the three may recover in time for Saturday's 4-1 victory over Crawley Town however none were fit enough to return to the squad.

Speaking ahead of the weekend's victory, Selles confirmed that none are anticipated to return in time for this evening's trip to Devon either.

"No Jeriel, Mama or Joel are going to be recovered for this weekend and probably not for the game on Tuesday," he told the media. "We are expecting at least one or two of them back for the game with Bristol Rovers."

Pereira in particular is a key fan favourite and supporters are keen for the former Manchester United youngster to return to the side as quickly as possible.

However, it is not as simple as that, says Selles.

"The position of the goalkeeper is tricky because it is not only about being fit, it is about one action of jumping and moving and saving. We need to tick all of the boxes to be sure that he has plenty of those experiences before he comes back to the team."

In more positive news, forward Kelvin Ehibhatiomhan, who was suspended for Saturday's win, will likely return to the fold following his one-match ban.
