Bristol Rovers boss Matt Taylor has spoken of Reading chief Ruben Selles and his 'huge reputation' ahead of tomorrow's meeting.
The Pirates have won three of their last four matches and arrive in Berkshire looking for a first win in Reading since 1999.
The Royals earned four points out of six last season against the opposition and enter the tie on the brink of the play-offs after beating both Crawley Town and Exeter City in the last seven days.
Speaking ahead of the clash, Taylor was quizzed on his opposite number- Selles- and the respect was clear to see from the former Rotherham United chief.
"Inside football he’s got a huge reputation," Taylor told the media in Bristol. "Dave Horseman worked with him at Southampton and speaks so highly of him. One thing as a manager, if you’ve got the players then you’re generally in a good position.
"Now, the transfer windows and the bans and the embargos behind the scenes and the ownership, training grounds, I don’t know the full ins and outs of how much that’s affected them.
"All I can see is a team which we’re playing this weekend and yeah, full credit to Ruben and his staff because only a little bit of what they’ve gone through must be difficult. They've got a fantastic group of players but so have we."
The Gas head into the game sat 15th in League One, beating Shrewsbury Town 1-0 on Tuesday.
