Reading boss Ruben Selles 'hopes' more supporters turn out for the Second Round of the FA Cup after Saturday's record-low against Fleetwood Town.

The Royals set up a second round tie with seventh tier Harborough Town after Saturday's 2-0 victory over Fleetwood to keep up the record of just one home defeat all season.

However, only 3,685 supporters turned out for the clash, including 93 from the Fylde Coast, in what was the lowest turnout on a Saturday since the move to the SCL Stadium in 1998.

Only six blocks of the Sir John Madejski Stand were open to home supporters, making for a strange atmosphere in the 24,000 seater arena.

Harborough, who beat Tonbridge Angels to reach the Second Round for the first time in their history, are likely to capture the imagination and should see a larger crowd.

Certainly Selles is hoping so.

"The FA Cup is always exciting, and I think it is good that we are playing at home," the Spaniard told the media on Tuesday. "It is still far away from us, but I think it will be a good moment for us.

"Hopefully we will get more of a crowd in the stadium than the last FA Cup game and when the moment arrives, we will be there and ready to beat them. It is going to be a competitive game for sure and we will need to be ready to beat them."
