Reading progressed into the Round of 32 of the EFL Trophy after a dominant 3-0 win over Newport County, with all three goals coming in the final 15 minutes.
Having dozens of attempts on target, it took until Harvey Knibbs' opener with time running out to set the ball rolling, with the midfielder netting a brace and Jayden Wareham grabbing a goal in the closing stages.
Take a look at the player ratings below.
David Button, 6: Made one or two solid saves but a reasonably easy evening at the office for the experienced goalkeeper.
Ashqar Ahmed, 7: The teenager certainly did not look out of place from the start, contributing plenty in an offensive and defensive manner.
Amadou Mbengue, 6: A little rash at times and decided to dive in unnecessarily on a few occasions. Kept up his knack for driving forward with the ball at his feet.
Jeriel Dorsett, 6: A commanding return from the start for the returning defender. Usually playing as a left-back under Ruben Selles, it was good to see the youngster return to his more natural centre-back role.
Andre Garcia, 7: After a few shaky starts in the league, the 16-year-old looked too good for his League Two counterparts. Providing plenty of width, his dribbling certainly caught the eye.
Shay Spencer, 7: At times the teenager looked like a Rolls Royce, breezing through midfield with a wise head on his shoulder much older than his years. Continues to impress with every appearance.
Lewis Wing, 7: Made the team tick, as one would expect. At times tried passes too fancy which his teammates failed to pick up on. On another day, the 29-year-old has more goals and assists to his name.
Ben Elliott, 6: At times the youngster tried a little too much but it was obvious that the former Chelsea teen was too good for the competition. Hit the post and should have scored at least once on the night.
Mamadi Camara, 6: A few flashes from the youngster but end product left a lot to be desired.
Adrian Akande, 6: Similar to Camara, the teenager saw lots of the ball and on another day could have scored plenty. Crossing required work and decision-making not always correct.
Jayden Wareham, 6: Extremely wasteful from the youngster, who could have had three or four by the end of the day. Great to see him get on the scoresheet in the end as it was looking like a frustrating evening.
Substitutes
Louie Holzman, 6: Comfortable display from the youngster after Mbengue limped off.
Michael Craig, 6: Calmed things down and kept the ball ticking over.
Harvey Knibbs, 8: The difference maker, finally adding the finishing touches onto the hatful of chances created for the forwards.
Chem Campbell, 7: Similar to Knibbs, his quality shone through against a tiring Exiles side.
