Reading boss Ruben Selles has issued a positive injury update on Amadou Mbengue and Sam Smith, with the pair expected to be involved after the international break.
Central defender Mbengue has featured in every game this season but supporters were concerned after the 24-year-old limped off during Tuesday's 3-0 win over Newport County in the EFL Trophy.
Also walking a suspension tight rope, the fan favourite has four yellow cards and will miss a game if he picks up a fifth before matchday 19.
However, supporters can let off a sigh of relief as Selles has confirmed Mbengue is 'alright' and was taken off as a precaution.
Meanwhile, striker Smith has been missing since last month's 4-1 defeat at Stockport County, with the Royals playing with Jayden Wareham and even Harvey Knibbs as forward options.
Without a game until November 23 due to international involvements, Selles is expecting the star striker to feature at Peterborough United in some capacity.
Speaking after Tuesday's win over the Exiles, Selles said: "I hope he will arrive to that game- in a way of being able to start or make an impact."
Young defender Abraham Kanu made his long-awaited return to action on Tuesday and Jeriel Dorsett has now featured in the last two fixtures.
Club captain Andy Yiadom remains out for the foreseeable future after a long-term injury has kept him side-lined since April.
