Reading legend Nicky Forster is to delight supporters in the town tomorrow with a Q&A session after former manager and Director of Football Operations, Mark Bowen, pulled out at short notice.
The Welshman, who had played for and managed the club, was Director of Football Operations until earlier in the year when he received an FA ban for gambling.
An internal process is underway due to a legal dispute and the Norwich City legend has not been back to Bearwood for over five months.
Reportedly sacked, the club have made no statement on the former defender since May 2024.
Due to meet supporters tomorrow at an event run by the Supporters Trust at Reading, STAR have confirmed that Bowen can no longer appear and club favourite Forster is to take his place.
The 51-year-old scored nearly 70 times for the club in over 200 appearances during the early 2000s as well as playing for the likes of Brentford and Birmingham City.
Best friend and former teammate, Ady Williams, will also be on stage alongside current stars Andy Yiadom and Kelvin Abrefa.
Open only to STAR members, doors open at Phantom Brewery from 6pm, with tickets still available for the event via the website.
