Over 1,000 Reading fans will be making the trip to Cambridgeshire on Saturday as the Royals return to League One action at Peterborough United.

Reading have not won at London Road since 2001, drawing 2-2 most recently on Boxing Day 2023, but it has not stopped the Royals supporters travelling in their droves.

As a result of selling out the initial allocation of 1,016, the Posh have given Reading an additional 415 tickets for the fixture on Saturday.

This comes the same week as over 1,800 tickets to near-neighbours Wycombe Wanderers were sold out inside three days, with no additional tickets being offered.

Last season, Reading averaged over 1,200 supporters at every away match, a rise of over 400 per match on the previous campaign after more than 20 years in the top two divisions of the pyramid.

Trips to Lincoln City and Barnsley also remain before Christmas, with Reading earning just one away victory so far this season and five points in total.
